Halloween 2009

Trick or Treat! Tonight was Halloween and we had a chilly fun time! The Parkers came over to go knocking for candy with us. Madison and Hailey were cowgirls. Courtney was a cheerleader and Megan was Strawberry Shortcake. The four most adorable girls in the neighborhood!

The Best Lifegroup!

We have really enjoyed being part of a lifegroup at our church. We have done studies on Abraham, I Marriage, Why Worry, and are now working on Fireproofing Your Marriage. Wednesday nights have become one of my favorite nights of the week. There are 13 children in our group ranging in age from almost 4 months to almost 9 years old. So glad to be friends with such a wonderful group of people.

Saturday Fun

Since my classes are on Saturdays, Trey has been trying to come up with fun and different things for him and the girls to do on the weekend. I would have never thought to do something so simple as take them to see the Parthenon and feed the birds at Centennial Park. Every Saturday always includes a trip to Dairy Queen. The girls love it!!

Our Dude!

This is our "dude!" Trey and I have been married for 12 years. We have two musical daughters who love to sing and dance ( to whatever is playing in their head.) Madison is eight years old and in the 3rd grade. Megan is four years old and in pre-k. Trey is the Communications Director for the Southwestern Company and I am a substitute teacher/stay at home mom who is also taking classes towards a Masters in the Arts of Teaching to be able to teach full-time someday soon. We attend the Bridge Fellowship and have met some of our closest friends there. We are involved in a Lifegroup through the church and spend many wonderful Wednesday nights with our friends.

My favorite bible verse at the moment

Psalm 139:14

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I am attending a bible study right now on the book "5 Conversations you must have with your Daughter" and it is so enlightening. The lessons are showing us how we need to help our daughter's mature and grow towards God. We need to be protectors but also supporters in their journey of life.
